Rae Robertson-Anderson

Rae Robertson-Anderson is a Professor of Physics and Biophysics at the University of San Diego, where she has served as Department Chair and Associate Provost. Earning degrees from Georgetown and UCSD, she has published over 90 papers — the majority featuring undergraduate co-authors — and recently authored a book on biopolymer networks. Her interdisciplinary research on bio-inspired soft and living materials has been supported by over $5M in grants, including NSF CAREER and DMREF Awards. An APS Fellow and recipient of the APS Prize for Faculty Research at an Undergraduate Institution, she also served as Secretary/Treasurer for APS DSOFT and promotes science through her @Physics_Mamma TikTok channel.
