Marisa Petrusky

Marisa Petrusky, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral associate at the Center for National Security Initiatives at the University of Colorado Boulder. She broadly specializes in numerical modeling of rarefied gases and plasmas and enjoys investigating research areas that require study of fundamental physics in order to address engineering challenges. She is also passionate about building an inclusive community in academia, especially through teaching and mentorship programs.

Marisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Physics at Stony Brook University in 2021. She then completed her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2026.
