Lisa Manglass

Lisa Manglass is an environmental health physicist and Assistant Professor of Physics at Francis Marion University. She holds a B.S. in Physics (University of Georgia), an M.S. in Health Physics (Colorado State University), and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences (Clemson University). Prior to receiving her Ph.D., she worked for 8 years as an environmental consultant on projects across the US and Canada at uranium mines, landfills, laboratories, and more. Her primary research areas are environmental radioactivity and ethics education in STEM. She is the current president of the Carolinas Chapter of the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, and loves bridging the gap between physics and environmental sciences.
