Joan Dreiling
Joan Dreiling earned bachelors degrees in physics and mathematics from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, and her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln working with Tim Gay. Joan then held a National Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD. In 2018, Joan started at Honeywell Quantum Solutions, which later spun-out from Honeywell and joined with Cambridge Quantum Computing to become Quantinuum. She is now a Lead Physicist and oversees the transition of bringing new trapped-ion quantum computers into commercial operation.
