FDI Disability Travel Supplement
Subject to the availability of funds, the Forum on Diversity and Inclusion (FDI) is offering supplemental funds to enable individuals with disabilities to participate in the APS March and April meetings.
Rules and eligibility
Applicants must be members of the APS Forum on Diversity and Inclusion. Members at any level may apply. Priority will go to those making contributed presentations.
Examples of Allowable Expenses (Non-Inclusive)
- Cost of hiring an interpreter or transcriber
- Screen-reading or transcription technology purchased specifically for the meeting
- Mobility aids
- Additional costs of transportation due to disability
- Hotel Expenses for Caregiver Accommodations

- Meeting Registration
- Meals/Food during the meeting

Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Standards. Violations of these standards may disqualify people from consideration or lead to revocation of honors or removal from office.
