This webinar will follow the inspiring career of Prof. Rajaâ Cherkaoui El Moursli, a Moroccan nuclear physicist and L’Oréal-UNESCO Women in Science awardee. It will highlight her groundbreaking work in high-energy physics through Morocco’s involvement in the ATLAS experiment at CERN, as well as her pivotal role in establishing the country’s first Master’s program in Medical Physics. The presentation will explore how her research bridges global scientific innovation with local capacity building, education, and policy change, while sharing lessons on leadership, resilience, and empowering the next generation—especially young women in science across Africa and the Arab region.
