APS selects 2026-27 Student Ambassadors cohort

May 11, 2026

APS extends its congratulations to a record 125 students selected to represent the Society at institutions in 20 countries across the globe for the APS Student Ambassador program, a prestigious student leadership opportunity to strengthen the physics community on their campuses and serve as a bridge between students and APS.

The program not only facilitates an APS presence on campuses worldwide, introducing campus populations to APS and its membership benefits, it also builds out the professional portfolios of undergraduate and graduate student physicists, helping to equip them as leaders in the wider physics community.

During their 2026-27 terms, these Student Ambassadors will design and promote student-focused events, connect their peers with APS resources, gather student input on APS and unit initiatives, and host events at their home institutions. They will also engage in APS leadership training to position them for success.
