DC office space available to APS members

APS members can now access professional workspace at the American Center for Physics’ branch in downtown Washington, D.C. Located at 555 12th Street NW in District Center, this shared facility offers individual workspaces and meeting rooms close to public transit stops.

This facility — established in 2023 following the sale of APS’ building in College Park, Maryland, to the University of Maryland — is shared with the American Institute of Physics and the American Association of Physics Teachers. The space has already become a hub, hosting APS Board and Council meetings, committee sessions, AIP's federation meeting, and other events.

Members can reserve free personal workspace Monday through Friday (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with two business days' advance notice. Amenities include Wi-Fi, coffee and tea, and basic business support, including printing and office supplies.

Members can reserve a personal workspace online. Group meeting spaces are available for a fee, based on group size and time requirements. For group meeting inquiries, contact acpservices@aip.org.
